Thursday Coffee Gathering, April 30 at 10:30 a.m.
These gatherings take place on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Thursdays each month, and are an opportunity to come together for fellowship during the week. Please join us in the Food Court at Liberty Place for coffee and conversation with fellow parishioners. To find folks, walk to the windows, turn right and you will see the less crowded area where we will be the group with a red Saint Mark’s coffee mug on our table. Youth Group Outreach Night, Thursday, April 30 at 6 p.m.
The next Youth Group meeting will be on April 30 at 6 p.m. We will spend the evening supporting the Saturday Soup Bowl by packing backpacks kindly donated by parishioners. Everything the children assemble will be used the following Saturday to provide for the Soup Bowl guests. Dinner will be provided. Pick-up is 8 p.m. Friends are always welcome to Youth Group!
Choral Evensong & Benediction, Sunday, May 3 at 4 p.m.
Join us for a sung liturgy of prayers, scripture, and music sung by the Parish Choir and the Boys & Girls Choir. Benediction is a time for adoration of Our Lord’s Real Presence in the Sacrament. The music includes the Preces & Responses of Margaret Burk, George Dyson’s classic Evening Service in D, and as the anthem, Benjamin Britten’s landmark cantata Rejoice in the Lamb. This great and whimsical work sets a (small) portion of Christopher Smart’s profound Jubilate Agno, written while the poet was in a mental institution.
