Soup Making Session, Thursday, November 5, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The Saturday Soup Bowl serves approximately 140 guests each Saturday, and it takes many gallons of soup to feed them! The parish is now hosting group soup-making sessions in the parish kitchen, where folks can drop in to help with chopping, stirring, and storing soup. We will provide the ingredients and utensils; just bring yourself and a can-do attitude! If you would like to help, please contact Kenny Pearlstein or drop by.
Thursday Coffee Gathering, November 12, at 10:30 a.m.
These gatherings take place on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Thursdays each month, and are an opportunity to come together for fellowship during the week. Please join us in the Food Court at Liberty Place for coffee and conversation with fellow parishioners. To find folks, walk to the windows, turn right, and you will see the less crowded area where there will be a group with a red Saint Mark’s coffee mug on our table. Garden Day, Saturday, November 14 at 9:30 a.m.
Please join us for a gardening day to beautify the plants and flowers in the West Garden. Sadly, the roses were infected with rosette virus and need to be removed. If you’re interested in attending and helping out on Garden Day, please contact Addie Peyronnin.
Commitment Sunday is November 15
Make plans to attend Mass as we celebrate our common life at Saint Mark’s, Jesus Christ, and the Gospel. On Commitment Sunday, parishioners are invited to bring their pledge cards to church and come forward at the offertory. Celebratory Coffee Hours will follow the Masses this day.
20s/30s Friendsgiving, Thursday, November 19 at 6 p.m.
Please save the date for the annual Friendsgiving meal at Saint Mark’s! We will meet in the Rectory dining room for food and fellowship. Keep an eye out for a food sign-up sheet. Turkey is provided!
Food Cupboard Turkey Distribution,Tuesday, November 24th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m
Food Cupboard’s Thanksgiving turkey distribution is coming up! If you are interested in volunteering for setup, distribution, or cleanup, please email Abigail Zimmerman. Donations of sides, particularly powdered mashed potatoes, canned cranberry sauce, and canned gravy, are also needed and can be dropped off in the back of the church or at the office M-F between 9:30 and 5.
Saint Mark's Prayer Group, Tuesday, November 24 at 7 p.m.
All are welcome to join us for quiet prayer and sharing. We pray for the intentions of those gathering and for the parish. We meet via Zoom every 4th Tuesday at 7 p.m. Please email Martha Ainsworth for the Zoom link.
