Jay began attending Saint Mark's in 2001 and became a member in 2002. He has served in numerous roles in the parish, including as a Vestry member for 14 years and as Rector's Warden for six years. He frequently serves at the altar and has led the parish Bible study for almost 20 years. In his professional life, Jay is the editor of Ideas & Perspectives, a publication of Independent School Management, Inc., which supports leaders of private-independent schools. Previously he was publisher of In Trust magazine, a publication for the leaders of Protestant and Catholic theological schools and seminaries. Jay lives in Center City Philadelphia with his ill-tempered, elderly cat, Esau.
