Tuesday, April 25, 7 p.m. - Pontifical High Mass for the Feast of Saint Mark
Join the Saint Mark's community as we celebrate our patronal feast, with a visit from Bishop Bill Franklin, who will celebrate, preach, and perform confirmation and receptions. A parish potluck follows in the parish hall; please bring a salad, side dish, or dessert to share.
Weeks of April 24 and May 1 - Curtis Recital Series
Join us for this annual series of recitals featuring student performers from our neighbors at the Curtis Institute of Music. Recitals will follow the midday Mass on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the weeks of April 24 and May 1. Each recital begins at 12:45 p.m. and lasts about an hour. All events are free and open to the public.
Sunday, April 30, 3 p.m. - Organ Recital by Robert McCormick
Saint Mark's organist and choirmaster Robert McCormick will offer an organ recital, featuring the works of by Gerre Hancock, McNeil Robinson, Zachary Wadsworth and Searle Wright, as well as an improvisation on submitted themes. The recital is free and open to the public, and an offering will be collected to benefit the Food Cupboard and Saturday Soup Bowl.
Sunday, May 7, 3 p.m. - Choral Evensong & Benediction
The Parish Choir and the Choir of Boys & Girls will sing Choral Evensong & Benediction with Sumsion’s Evening Service in D and music of Morales and Bairstow, and Robert McCormick’s setting of O Salutaris Hostia.
Thursday, May 25, 7 p.m. - Choral High Mass of the Ascsension
On the Feast of the Ascension, join Saint Mark's for Choral High Mass and a parish dinner following as we celebrate Fr. Sean Mullen's tenth year of ministry as our rector. The Rt. Rev. J. Neil Alexander, dean of the School of Theology at the University of the South, will celebrate and preach, and the Parish Choir will sing Mathias' Missa Brevis and music of Gowers and Stanford.
